Police are appealing to the driver of a white ute who witnessed an assault in Dunedin this morning.
A 22-year-old woman was assaulted on North Rd at around 2:30am by two men who were driving a red car.
Police say the car was a red, four-door sedan with mag wheels and a large spoiler on the boot.
During the assault a white ute drove past, tooted his horn at the group and drove off.
Police are asking the driver of the ute or anyone else who saw the assault to come forward.
