A child and woman in her 30s have been flown to Christchurch Hospital after driving off a road in Canterbury.
A St John ambulance, first response unit and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter attended the incident at 1:26pm this afternoon. The car went off Pendarves Rakaia Rd, north of Ashburton.
The woman has suffered serious injuries and the child minor injuries, St John spokesperson Ian Henderson says.
