Labour has found its replacement for Parekura Horomia.
Meka Whaitiri has beaten five other hopefuls to represent Labour in the Ikaroa-Rawhiti by-election.
It's historically a safe red seat, having always been won by Mr Horomia before his death. But as many people have said, Mr Horomia left big gumboots to fill.
In Taradale today, hundreds of Labour Party members met to vote for their favourite candidate.
