Veteran All White Glen Moss will once again suit up for the All Whites after going to extreme lengths to prove his worth to national coach Anthony Hudson.

It has been two years since Moss played for the All Whites, playing in Hudson's first match of his tenure. But since then, Moss has fallen on the outer as Hudson sought to expand his player base.

While that meant that Moss wasn't being selected for the All Whites, the 33-year-old said that it has benefited the team in the long run.

"It goes right round the squad," he said.

"Now that we've got a solid squad, that's what we need if we want to get back to where we want to be and that's World Cups."

The Phoenix keeper even made a special trip from Wellington to Auckland to state his case to coach Hudson and said that he made sure that he was at the front of Hudson's mind when it came to selection

"I always had my hand up for availability, it's not a case of I wasn't picked for one squad and throwing the toys and said that's it."

The All Whites kick off their OFC Round Three Qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup against New Caledonia on November 12 at QBE Stadium in Albany, Auckland.
