IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko have reportedly agreed to fight each other next month, with an official announcement expected to come in the next couple of days.

According to the BBC, Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed the bout will not only be contested for the Brits IBF crown, but also the vacant WBA and WBO straps.

"Terms are virtually there," said Hearn.

Joshua, 27, already has a date booked to defend his title on November 27 in Manchester and Hearn has confirmed that is the likely date and destination.

"The deal between the fighters is there. The financial terms are agreed, there was a problem with the US broadcasters but that has been sorted," Hearn told BBC Radio.

"It is now a case of getting the paperwork and the sanctioning in order. Hopefully in a couple of days we will have the official announcement."

Last week, reigning WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury vacated his belts after a plethora of personal issues prevented him from defending his title.

Kiwi slugger Joseph Parker was believed to be in the mix to fight for the vacated WBO title against Mexican Andy Ruiz in December.

However that now appears to be on the scrap heap as the three major boxing organisations look to crown an undisputed champion.

WBO officials are meeting in Puerto Rico later this week to decide the fate of the vacated belt, which DUCO's Dean Lonergan is in attendance to put forward the case of his charge.

But it seems the ship may have sailed on the Parker v Ruiz fight.
