A very confident Andy Ruiz is convinced he's done the hard work needed to overcome Joseph Parker when they meet in Auckland on Saturday.

Spending his first full day in New Zealand since his arrival, the 27-year-old insisted that he's not going to leave the country without the belt.

"This is a good opportunity, a great opportunity and I'm not leaving New Zealand without it.

"I'm going to die trying to get this result."

Much has been made about Ruiz's endeavour to lose weight ahead of the bout and he's confident it's made him a better and faster fighter.

"We did the hard work over there in Big Bear and we're really confident and prepared for December 10th."

"I'm gonna be more faster on my feet. They say I have slow feet but they're going to see the difference from Andy Ruiz then to now."

The confidence was shared by his father Andy Ruiz Senior who wasn't afraid to draw comparisons with one of the greatest of all time.

"[Andy has] the fastest hands in the world.

"Faster than Parker, faster than Muhammad Ali."
