Dale Steyn returns to top of Test bowler rankings

South African pace bowler Dale Steyn has jumped back to top of the Test bowling rankings after steaming through the Black Caps in the Centurion Test.

Steyn grabbed five wickets for 33 in the second innings to help South Africa to a 204-run victory over New Zealand.

The 33-year-old, who finished with match figures of 99-8, reclaims his place after a shoulder injury in December 2015 kept him on the sidelines.

Steyn has leapfrogged Ravichandran Ashwin and top-ranked England pace bowler James Anderson to take the top slot.

New Zealand have two bowlers in the top 10, with Neil Wagner moving up to ninth following his six wickets in the match.
