Warriors centre Konrad Hurrell has appeared to back criticism of coach Andrew McFadden on social media after he was named as one of six players sanctioned for not meeting team standards.

Hurrell retweeted a message from a Twitter user that implied McFadden has lost the dressing room after six players were cut from the first grade team for reportedly not attending a review session.

Hurrell himself wasn't originally selected in the NRL side to face the Dragons this week but was still named as unavailable this morning.

Newshub understands the players were not dropped because of the night out in Auckland, as reported by other media, but rather their absence from a team meeting.

His retweet was quickly deleted but a screengrab was captured and posted to Facebook.

McFadden relegated Manu Vatuvei, Ben Matulino, Bodene Thompson, Albert Vete, Sam Lisone and Hurrell to reserve grade for failing to meet team standards in the wake of a 42-0 hammering to the Melbourne Storm according to Warriors boss Jim Doyle, but refuse to confirm the details.

Vatuvei has also been active on social media today, posting a video of himself with his daughter at Rainbow's End on Instagram.

The Warriors have won just three of their eight matches this season and languish in 13th on the NRL table.
