English funnyman and avid cricket fan John Cleese reckons Black Caps captain Brendon McCullum deserves a knighthood.
The Monty Python founding member took to social media site Twitter to thank McCullum for all he has done for cricket, following the Black Caps' 56-run Twenty20 loss to England.
"Thank you, Brendon McCullum, for all that you have done for Cricket in the past few weeks! A knighthood please [sic]," Cleese tweeted to his 4.34 million followers.

The praise comes after an unsuccessful English tour which resulted in a drawn Test series, a loss in the one-day international series and a loss in their only T20 match against an England side in turmoil at the beginning of the trip.
Following the 3-2 ODI series loss to England, McCullum said he would take some time to decide his future in the 50-over form of the game.
The 33-year-old has a longstanding back complaint and there has been speculation that, after 254 matches at this level, he could miss New Zealand's limited overs-only tour of Zimbabwe and South Africa in August.
