Mourners pay homage to fallen Munster Coach Anthony Foley

Hundreds of fans have gathered to pay homage to fallen rugby legend Anthony Foley with a rendition of 'There is an Isle' as his body was transferred to his home in Killaloe.

Many fans wore Shannon rugby club jerseys and bowed their heads when the hearse passed by before applauding

The hearse also passed by St Munchin's college where Foley went to school as well as stopped briefly outside the stadium.

The Munster coach died suddenly in Paris on Monday of an acute pulmonary oedema.

He was there with the Munster team for their European Champion's Cup match against Racing Metro.
