Japanese media are reporting that former All Black Jerry Collins has been arrested in Japan.
The Japanese online MSN news site has reported the sports star was in possession of a knife in a store in Hamamatsu.
The website claims the blade was 17cm in length, which Collins had on him for "self-defence".
Collins had been contracted to play two seasons for Japanese rugby club Yamaha.
