Sonny Bill Williams is known for his selfless nature and yesterday he made a family's day with a generous gesture.

Williams, who will make his All Blacks Sevens debut this weekend in Wellington, took to social media to give away four tickets to the event and some boots.

He added that he was looking for a family in Porirua to honour former All Black Jerry Collins' who grew up there.

"Giving away 4 tickets n some boots 4this weekends @SevensWelly hoping 2find a young family from Porirua in memory of Jc, get at me tweeps (sic)."

The two-time World Cup winner had hundreds of people respond to his tweet, but settled on a single mother of five.

"Meet Winnie a single mother of 5 who's dedicated her life to her young children," said Williams on Twitter. "This is what inspires me!"

Williams' unselfish acts have been well documented with one of the most recent when he gave a young fan who had been tackled by security his winner's medal after the All Blacks Rugby World Cup triumph.
