The All Blacks Sevens team have made three changes for the Hong Kong Sevens with Pita Ahki and Isaac Te Tamaki making the final 12-man squad, alongside Sonny Bill Williams.

Ahki returns to the squad having last played for New Zealand at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, while Te Tamaki returns from injury last featuring at the Cape Town Sevens in December.

Coach Sir Gordon Tietjens welcomed Ahki back to the team, labelling him a strong all-round Sevens player.

"He's very good defensively and a strong attacking player. He's in the Hurricanes now and for them to release him is certainly great moving forward because he’s got an opportunity now to really stamp his mark and have a crack at making Rio," Tietjens said.

The team has been drawn in Pool A and will play Samoa, France and Kenya.

New Zealand squad: Pita Ahki, Kurt Baker, Sam Dickson, DJ Forbes, Gillies Kaka, Liam Messam, Tim Mikkelson (Captain), Sione Molia, Lewis Ormond, Isaac Te Tamaki, Regan Ware, Sonny Bill Williams.
