Young back Tui Lolohea is determined to stay and fight for a spot at the Warriors despite looking increasingly like he's fallen behind in the team's pecking order.

Rumours have circled around Lolohea after the 21-year-old was spotted at Brisbane Broncos HQ in September.

And with the Warriors bringing halfback Kieran Foran into the fold, spots in the starting line-up look limited.

However, the utility back said he had no intention of going anywhere.

"I'll definitely for sure be at the warriors next year," Lolohea told Newshub at an eSports night at SKY City Auckland.

"I know there's been a lot of talk about me in the media but I'm looking forward to staying here and learning off some of the people at the club.

"I just want to let my football do the talking when the chance comes around and just prove people wrong."

After Foran sensationally left the Eels earlier in the year, his arrival at the Warriors already seems as if it's had an impact on the young players at the club like Lolohea.

"He's been pretty good, he's still recovering from an injury but I talk to him quite a bit, we love to have a joke.

"We haven't really talked footy but we're always joking around and I think that's a good start for us."

New coach Stephen Kearney has also got the players working very hard toward going deep into the 2017 NRL season according to Lolohea.

"It's been going great for him in this pre-season, [Kearney] has been pretty tough on the boys and it's been good for us if we want to go a long way.

"I think we're heading in the right direction."
