Former Crusader Tyler Bleyendaal has made a touching tribute to fallen Munster coach Anthony Foley after leading the side to an emotionally-charged win in the Pro12 competition.

The 26-year-old first five, who now plies his trade for Munster in Ireland, guided his side to victory over Glasgow, and then proceeded to take his Man of the Match award to the Foley home after the match and present it to them in memory of the late coach.

Foley had always been a strong advocate of the Christchurch-born back and remained defiant that the province had a responsibility to look after him after he suffered a serious neck injury in 2014.

“We as a club need to look after the player and it’s not a piece of meat we are dealing with,” Foley said at the time.

“It’s a human being, so there is a human side to this that we need to manage, and that is what Munster is about, it’s about the people.

“If a player has committed to us in terms of contract we need to make sure we are looking after this player as well.”

Foley passed away at the team hotel whilst they were in Paris on October 25
