Saul Niguez danced his way through the Bayern Munich defense to give Atletico Madrid a 1-0 advantage in their Champions League semifinal.
The Spanish midfielder picked the ball up in the middle of the park and breezed past three defenders before curling the ball around an outstretched Manuel Neuer.
The visitors' best chance came in the second half when defender David Alaba's driven shot caught Atletico keeper Jan Oblak unaware and crashed off the underside of the bar.
Fernando Torres almost doubled his side's advantage when he broke into the box, but was left with his head in his hands after his shot bounced off the inside of the post and Gabi's follow up effort was smothered by Neuer.
The second leg will be played in Munich next Wednesday (NZT).
