Six Nations champions Ireland have kicked off their defence with a 16-16 draw with Wales at Landsdowne Road in Dublin.
The home side roared into a 13-point lead thanks to the boot of Jonathan Sexton and a try to Conor Murray before Wales pulled it back to a three point deficit through a Taulape Faletau try.
Wales first five-eighth Rhys Priestland than kicked the visitors into the lead before Sexton stepped up with six minutes left to slot the equalising penalty.
