The Warriors have been thoroughly outplayed by the Canberra Raiders, hammered 38-12 in New Plymouth.
After an arm wrestle through the first 15 minutes of play the deadlock was broken by Canberra's Blake Austin to give his side the lead.
Joseph Leilua added another 10 minutes later before Jarrod Croker crossed, equaling Laurie Daley's try scoring record, to give the visitors a hefty 22-0 lead at the halftime break.
Shaun Johnson pulled one back early in the second stanza to finally get the Warriors on the board.
Josh Papalii restored the deficit 10 minutes later, taking the scoreline to 26-6.
Josh Hodgson and Edrick Lee added one more a piece before Blake Ayshford grabbed a consolation try for the Warriors.
