Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant has been sent off with a win in his 18th and final All-Star appearance after the West beat the East 196-173.

Bryant was the guest of honour at Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Monday (NZT), with the four-time All-Star MVP announcing his retirement.

This year's showpiece was the highest scoring in All-Star history with Bryant contributing 10 for the West team while last year's All-Star MVP Russell Westbrook lead the team with 31 points to claim a consecutive MVP award.

Paul George lead the scoring for the East with 41 points, one point short of Wilt Chamberlain's All-Star scoring record of 42.
