Spectators were witness to boy-racer nirvana in Auckland today when the Red Bull Drift Shifters burnt rubber and tore up Victoria Street West.
The event is a drifting competition from the brain of ‘Mad’ Mike Whiddett that involves a pin-ball styled obstacle course where the closer a driver gets to the obstacles, the better.
Proximity sensors attached to the obstacles measure the points acquired, which were displayed on a big screen for the crowd to see.
Watch the video for highlights of the day.
