Rugby sevens world series leaders New Zealand face a challenging opening round match against England when the Wellington tournament kicks off this afternoon.
The All Blacks Sevens have named a strong, settled team to pursue a third successive Wellington crown and seventh since 2000.
England have yet to make the quarter-finals in any of the first three tournaments, while New Zealand have been beaten finalists twice and won the previous leg in South Africa.
The Kiwis lead the overall standings on 60 points, 14 ahead of second-placed France, while England are a distant 13th with 15.
But England will be boosted by the return of last year's leading try-scorer Mat Turner, out since October after he broke his ankle in the opening Gold Coast tournament.
With another influential playmaker returning in Christian Lewis-Pratt, who missed the last two tournaments with an ankle injury, New Zealand captain DJ Forbes says over-confidence won't be a factor for his team.
New Zealand also face matches against Spain and the United States in pool play on Friday.
