All Whites striker Chris Wood might be on the move again with Wolverhampton Wanderers looking to sign the Kiwi before the January transfer window closes.

Leeds United, the club that Wood currently plies his trade at and scored eight goals in 23 appearances for, signed him for a reported £3 million in the English summer transfer window.

Wolves manager Kenny Jackett knows Wood well having managed the 24-year-old at Millwall, and is looking to spend some of the £10 million fee Bournemouth paid for striker Benik Afobe this month.

Leeds manager Steve Evans hinted at Wolves being willing to part with more than the £3 million the club paid for Wood in June.

"When people come in and offer us a lot of money for Chris Wood – a lot more than the president paid for him – it shows you the value others place on him," Evans told the Yorkshire Post.

Wolves were in the hunt for Wood when Leicester City were originally looking to move him on earlier in the year but couldn't front the cash.

Wood is already familiar with the Midlands area of England having played for Leicester, West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham.

Wolves are currently five points and seven places ahead of Leeds, sitting 10th in the league.
