Three years after their two-year-old triplets were killed in a Doha mall fire, parents Jane and Martin Weekes still want to see justice.

New Zealand-born Lillie, Jackson and Willsher Weekes, who all would have turned five this year, were killed in the Villaggio Mall's daycare centre during the fire on May 28, 2012.

The tragedy was the result of negligence on the parts of those overseeing the construction and management of the mall.

In total the fire claimed the lives of 19 people, including 13 children.

In 2013 five people were sentenced to jail over the incident, but they appealed their sentences, and the legal process continues.

"We continue to hope that our three children will receive justice, but today we will be reflecting on the short time we had with them," the Weekes told Fairfax Media.
