The black cow escaped while being offloaded at a campus research facility and went walkabout.
Police managed to capture it, but it got away again – perhaps not surprising, considering his original destination, the abbatoir.
Much like the recent llama escape in Arizona, local media showed up in droves and followed the cow up and down the street.
Authorities sent out text and phone alerts, warning residents to avoid the area.
It was eventually lassoed by the ex-president of the UK rodeo team.
