Police in eastern China have detained a farmer for making up and spreading a story about killing an extra-terrestrial.
The farmer posted the story and photos of the creature on a website at the weekend, leaving his contact details.
The police found the alleged alien in his freezer, and discovered it was actually made out of rubber, steel wire and a substance called antholeucin.
The man said he's just an ET enthusiast, but police don't share his passion. He was locked up for five days for fabricating lies and disrupting normal social order.
