It was a happy ending for a stray dog spotted by a Chinese cross-country bike team, on a gruelling 1,800 kilometre journey.
The team took pity and threw the dog a chicken bone, as it lay in the street early in their 24-day journey - and it followed them.
Almost all the 300 riders dropped out, but the dog kept up, and was with the three remaining cyclists when they finished.
The vet gave it a clean bill of health, and it is being adopted by one of the cyclists.
