Sushi master warns of bluefin's demise

Overfishing in Japan is threatening the bluefin tuna, one of the best fish for sushi.

Now the world's best sushi chef is making an effort to save the valuable fish.

For almost half a century, the torpedo-shaped bluefin tuna has been the star attraction in Tokyo's fish markets. Last year, a single fish fetched almost US$2 million.

But Japan is loving the tuna into extinction – bluefin numbers are beginning to collapse.

And no one is more aware of its impending demise as sushi chef Jiro Ono.
