VIDEO: The moment the quake struck Japan

A 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck Japan at 6:50am (local time) this morning.

The epicentre of the quake was 88km south-east of Hachinohe, Honshu island, at a depth of 32km.

There have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

A weather camera has caught images of the earth moving and shaking in Hachinohe.
