You Are Us Christchurch concert: Stan Walker's moving Te Reo Crowded House cover

Stan Walker wowed the crowd at the Christchurch You Are Us/Aroha Nui concert with a stirring cover of Crowded House in te reo Māori.

Walker was joined by fellow musician Seth Haapu for a unique bilingual version of the Kiwi anthem 'Don't Dream It's Over'.

The 'Take It Easy' hitmaker performed a three-song set punctuated by a stadium-wide sing-along of the New Zealand national anthem.

"As long as we stand together and stay together in love, they will never beat us," he told the crowd.

Walker also performed at the Auckland leg of the unprecedented concert tour at Auckland's Spark Arena last weekend.

His performance follows appearances from Six60, Dave Dobbyn and Jason Kerrison, with many more huge Kiwi acts set to take the stage at Christchurch Stadium, including a special guest appearance from Lorde.

All proceeds from the concert go to the  Our People, Our City fund set up to help those affected by the Christchurch shootings, which left 50 dead and 50 more injured.
