MAFS AU's Hayley Vernon claims she's forced to work as tradie after leaving 150k finance job for the show

One of the brides from this year's season of Married At First Sight Australia says she has been forced to take a job mixing concrete after leaving a high-powered job to film the show.

Hayley Vernon, who made headlines when she admitted to a recent drug relapse after recovering from a meth addiction, has apparently taken up labouring work post-filming.

According to the Daily Mail, Vernon has been working on a Melbourne building site mixing concrete since she finished up her stint on the show.

The 32-year-old previously worked as a finance broker and reportedly earned an annual salary of AU$150,000, but walked away from it to take part in the reality TV 'social experiment'.

Far from regretting her decision, a source told the Daily Mail Vernon was "in her element" working as a tradie, a sentiment she appeared to echo in a recently resurfaced Instagram story.

"Have I told you the story of the girl that fell in love with being a trady [sic] and is considering getting in the tools full time!?" she captioned a selfie where she donned a high-vis hoodie.

Vernon has also reportedly signed with a talent agent Max Markson, who has previously taken on several MAFS AU participants.
