Kim Kardashian has revealed her five-year-old son Saint previously tested positive for COVID-19.

In a teaser for next week's episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the 40-year-old reality star is seen breaking the news over the phone that her second-born child tested positive for the virus.

"Sainty just tested positive for COVID. North is saying she's feeling sick," she says.

The person on the other end can be heard explaining it "wouldn't be surprising" if North, Kim's eldest daughter, did have the virus too.

Speaking to the cameras Kim says she is "trying not to freak anyone out" but is "just really worried".

It's not known exactly when Saint tested positive, but he has recovered from the virus.

In October last year, Kim detailed the "scary and unknown" ordeal of caring for her now ex-husband Kanye West while he fought coronavirus.

She said West, 43, dealt with the virus in February 2020, when "nobody really knew what was going on".

"It was so scary and unknown. I had my four babies and no one else in the house to help."

Kim said she had to change her then-husband's sheets while wearing gloves and a face shield, calling it "really a scary time".

"It was a challenge because it was so unknown."

In an October episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim's sister Khloe Kardashian also detailed her experience contracting COVID-19 in early 2020.

The 36-year-old said that she spent at least two days vomiting, shaking and running hot and cold while battling a painful cough.

"My chest would burn when I would cough," she said. "My throat still hasn't recovered.

"I have been in my room. It's gonna be fine, but it was really bad for a couple days."
