Six60 singer Matiu Walters has welcomed a baby girl with his partner Caren Freeman.

The 'Special' crooner shared the news with his nearly 70,000 Instagram followers, confirming the couple's first child arrived last week.

"Kia Ora everyone. Last week, with help from an amazing team, Caren gave birth to our beautiful baby girl!" he wrote alongside a photo of him holding a baby carrier through a hospital hallway.

Walters revealed the little one is called Boh Ātaahua Freeman Walters.

"Mum and baby are doing well and we are filled with love," he wrote.

"Aroha nui. See you later," he concluded, signing off: "The Walters."

The multi-Aotearoa Music Award winner announced he and Freeman, who are reportedly engaged, were expecting a baby in early January. "Bring on 2021," he wrote at the time, alongside an Instagram photo of him cradling his partner's baby bump.

Six60 also shared the happy news to their band's Instagram account, dubbing Boh "Six60's newest member".
