Billie Eilish says she 'would have died' from COVID-19 if she wasn't vaccinated

Billie Eilish thinks she "would have died" from a bout of COVID-19 she battled earlier this year if she hadn't been vaccinated.

Appearing on The Howard Stern Show, the 'Bad Guy' singer revealed she had contracted the virus around August - something "nobody knew" until now.

"F**k that shit, dude," she told Stern.

"I want it to be clear that it is because of the vaccine that I'm fine," she said. "I think if I weren't vaccinated, I would have died, because it was bad."

"I didn't die, and I wasn't gonna die, but that does not take away from how miserable I was. I was sick for like two months, almost," she added, explaining that she's still suffering side effects now.

Eilish sung the praises of the vaccine she received, calling it "f**king amazing" and saying it prevented her brother and musical collaborator Finneas from catching COVID-19, as well as her parents and her friends.

The 19-year-old recognised that "in the scheme of COVID", her experience was not as dire as it could have been, but said that she felt "f**king horrible" while dealing with the illness.

Eilish is set to visit Aotearoa next year to play three shows at Auckland's Spark Arena in September.
