The Flash first trailer shows off Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton's Batman, the return of Zod

The first trailer for The Flash has arrived showing off multiple Batmans and various Kryptonians as Ezra Miller reprises their role as Barry Allen.

Ben Affleck's Batman appears in the trailer with his Bruce Wayne offering Allen some ominous warnings about meddling with time travel and alternate universes. Michael Keaton also suits up once again as the Batman for the first time since 1992's Batman Returns.

Warner Bros. Discovery, which owns Newshub, released the first trailer for The Flash during the 2023 Super Bowl.

The film's synopsis promises the DC Superhero's first ever solo outing on screen will be an epic one.

"Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past," reads the synopsis.

"But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no superheroes to turn to.

"That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian... albeit not the one he's looking for."

The Flash, directed by IT's Andy Muschietti, is due to release on June 15.
