Bic Runga is to play one of her most popular albums in full on a tour around Aotearoa in July.

The 'Sway' hitmaker will celebrate the release of Beautiful Collision, which came out in July 2002, with dates in Hastings, Tauranga, Auckland and Wellington.

She will play Hastings' Toitoi Opera House on Saturday, July 15, before heading to Tauranga's Holy Trinity Auditorium on Saturday, July 22.

She'll then head to Auckland's Town Hall as part of the city's Elemental Nights festival on Friday, July 28 before finishing off in Wellington's St James Theatre on Sunday, July 30.

Beautiful Collision was Runga's second solo album and was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2003 New Zealand Music Awards.

It lost to the Datsuns that year, but it was also announced as the highest-selling New Zealand album for the year of 2003 during the Awards.

It debuted at number one on the album charts before spending a total of 101 weeks in Aotearoa's album charts.

"Beautiful Collision was my favourite album to make, and still means a lot to me after 20 years," Runga said.

"I hope that if these songs hold a special place for anyone, that they will enjoy celebrating the anniversary of this album with me as a complete concert performance."

Tickets for the shows are now on sale.
