With the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the globe, it seems like there's a lot of bad news filling our newsfeeds and we all need something a little wholesome to brighten our days.

Thankfully one US family is here to provide, sharing with the world the novel way they celebrated their son's 21st birthday.

TikTok user Emily Torchia, 18, shared the full nightclub treatment her brother Jack received at the hottest club in New Jersey - their parents' house.

Jack and Emily's mum Carolyn turned the garage into 'Club Quarantine', complete with an intimidating, torch-wielding bouncer (their dad) guarding the door outside.

Upon entry, both are served at the bar by their mum and it's 'green tea' - a whisky-based cocktail - shots all round.

Emily's video of the proceedings has racked up over 5 million views on TikTok. She told Buzzfeed it was all their mum and dad's idea.

"The night of [my brother's] 21st was a great night. My mom and dad put in a lot of work to make sure it seemed as real as possible," she said. "My mom even made my dad memorize lines!

"In fact, it made this time in quarantine easier."

Emily says their family "does stuff like this all the time".

Viewers took to the comments to say it had brightened their day.

"Parent goals! This is some wholesome stuff," one person wrote.

"I love this family," wrote another.

"Most wholesome healthy video I've seen today," wrote another.
