University is looking a little different for a lot of students around the world at the moment - but one US college student is taking advantage of the opportunities it presents.

In a now-viral video, TikTok user Aly Oliver showed her mum's hilarious reaction to seeing her daughter's university professor during Zoom classes, calling him "a babe".

"My mom started crushing on my professor during quarantine," Oliver captioned the video.

The clip then documents the pair's plan for Oliver's mother to get noticed by the professor, staging a walk-in during her daughter's one-on-one time.

The uni student even threw her parent's divorce into the conversation, just to really hammer the point home.

"I was trying not to piss myself laughing the whole time, but they finally met," wrote Oliver.

However the jig was up soon enough, after the video went viral, racking up over 9.5 million views and 2.6 million likes.

The overwhelming response meant that Oliver was forced to come clean, posting a follow-up video a few days later.

"Alright so this is a little update on the video of my mum and professor, there's not much as they live in two different states, and you know, quarantine, so there's not much," she revealed.

"I woke up to 5 million views and thought 'oh f**k I'm going to have to tell him'...he was super chill about it and said 'you can leave it up as long as you write your paper on it'.

"So I'm currently writing my paper on TikTok... that's college for you."

But Oliver isn't giving up on the love story.

"However I'm going to drop my mum's cellphone number at the end of my essay because... what do I have to lose?" she laughed.

Hopefully part three will be revealed in the coming weeks.
