Whether you go for a buffet, family style table or set menu, choosing the food you have at your wedding can be a complex decision. Dietary requirements, cost per head - it's a minefield for any couple or wedding planner.
But one couple has drawn the ire of the internet after the food they served up at their nuptials went viral and was slammed by commenters for looking like "a toddler's lunch".
According to 7 News, photos of the 'meal' were posted into a wedding-shaming Facebook group by an angry bridesmaid.
"Our 'food' was half a croissant sandwich, fruit on a stick, veggies in a cup and a bag of chips," she captioned the picture.
She added that it was only the tip of the iceberg of problems at the wedding.
"None of the chairs matched at the reception, it just looked a mess."
Members of the Facebook group were reportedly horrified at the meal.
"This is literally what I gave my toddler for lunch today minus the chips," wrote one person.
"They couldn't even spring for a full sandwich? Just half each?" another questioned.
Another called it "the saddest thing" they'd ever seen.
To be honest, we think it could have been worse. Who doesn't love a croissant sandwich?
