Three unique iced coffee recipes to get you through the hot summer days

For many people, coffee is something of a spiritual experience. From the roast of the beans to the choice of milk, a well-crafted cup of java has become a linchpin of day-to-day life.

Whether you're a flat white fan, a latte lover or an Americano addict, there's a brew out there for everyone - but for one demographic, the hype is no longer around the hot stuff.

According to a study by the Allegra World Coffee Portal Research and Analysis, young coffee connoisseurs are all about the iced beverage, with 37 percent of people aged under 30 consuming iced coffee more than once a week. The data also revealed that more and more Starbucks-toting tastemakers are opting for experimental concoctions, sparking a trend toward exotic flavours.

So with the hot summer sun beating down, now is the perfect time to whip up a fun and flavourful iced beverage for your next caffeine hit - and no, you don't have to be under 30 to do so. Nespresso has shared three easy-to-make iced coffee recipes ideal for either an at-home pick-me-up, an on-the-go refresh or a catch-up with a mate.

Alternatively, Caffesso offers Nespresso-compatible capsules at a cheaper price point, while local favourite Allpress Espresso also sells suitable pods. Supermarkets also stock a range of capsules, from Nescafe to Starbucks, to fit every machine.
