Megan Fox discusses her son Noah's 'journey' after they started wearing dresses as a two-year-old

Megan Fox has candidly spoken about the difficulties she is facing as a mother to three children, one of whom she worries will encounter adversity due to their decision to wear dresses.

The Jennifer's Body star, 35, has given her fans a rare glimpse into her life as a mother-of-three in a new cover interview for Glamour UK's April issue.

Although Fox is not so guarded about other facets of her life - including her blood-drinking, hand-stabbing and somewhat controversial relationship with "twin flame" Machine Gun Kelly - she has been fiercely protective of her children's privacy while navigating a career in the spotlight.

"My kid is so brave," Fox told Glamour UK. "My child is so brave and I know that they've chosen this journey for a reason."

Noah, who was biologically born as a boy, has long preferred to dress in traditionally female clothes.

"Noah started wearing dresses when he was about two, and I bought a bunch of books that sort of addressed these things and addressed a full spectrum of what this is."

Some of the books she purchashed were written by transgender children, Fox said, while other literature explained that clothing is a form of expression and should not be subject to societal gatekeeping - such as pink and dresses being for "girls" and blue and suits being for "boys".

"And [clothing] doesn't even have to have anything to do with your sexuality," Fox added. "So from the time they were very young, I've incorporated those things into their daily lives so that nobody feels like they are weird or strange or different."

However, Fox admitted it's "hard as a mom" to see her child "suffer", adding that it's challenging to know she cannot always shield them from the cruelty of the world.

"I can't control the way other people react to my children. I can't control the things that other children that they go to school with have been taught and then repeat to them," she said.

"I knew when they were very young, I wanted to try to protect them however I could, especially limiting their exposure to the Internet. So far, we've done a really good job and we maintain their innocence in a lot of ways, but I know I can't protect them forever, though I do have a child that suffers.

"I have a lot of worries about that, because I just wish that humanity was not like this. I know that they've chosen this journey for a reason. It's just hard as a mom."

Speaking to InStyle last year, Fox revealed that Noah has been targeted by "mean, awful and cruel people" online, despite her decision to limit her children's exposure on social media - a space she calls "sinister" and "evil".

Elsewhere in the interview with Glamour UK, Fox also admitted that she and her rapper beau Machine Gun Kelly drink each other's blood "for ritual purposes". When announcing her engagement to the 'Bloody Valentine' singer, 32, in January, Fox wrote on Instagram that the couple "drank each other's blood" to commemorate the occasion. However, Fox has now insisted that their consumption of the bodily fluid is "controlled".

"It is controlled where it's like, 'Let's shed a few drops of blood and each drink it'. [Kelly's] much more haphazard and hectic and chaotic, where he's willing to just cut his chest open with broken glass and be like, 'Take my soul'," she told the magazine.

"It doesn’t not happen. Let me tell you. Maybe not exactly like that, but a version of that has happened many times."
