A British wedding planner has detailed the staggering moment a bride reportedly found her husband-to-be breastfeeding in the bathroom moments before she was due to walk down the aisle.
Georgie Mitchell revealed the bizarre story on a recent episode of the Unfiltered Bride podcast.
Mitchell said she was told the story by somebody else in the wedding industry, a make-up artist she named only as Jenny.
"[The bride] walked into the toilet and what she saw is enough to end a wedding," Mitchell told podcast co-host Beth Smith.
"He was being breastfed by his mum."
Smith was shocked by the revelation.
"Sorry, what? Why would you still marry a man [who breastfeeds]?"
Mitchell said while the bride apparently didn't know her husband-to-be was still being breastfed, the wedding went ahead regardless.
"But you... wouldn't kiss when they say, 'Will you kiss the groom?'"
In the comments section on TikTok, followers were also horrified.
"The strongest man couldn't lift my jaw right now," one wrote.
"Took 'mummy's boy' to a whole new level," another said.
Several years ago, there was a rising trend among certain adult fitness groups who were purchasing and consuming human breast milk. However, experts emphasised the significant health hazards associated with this practice.
In an article published in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine in 2015, experts highlighted the lack of evidence supporting assertions human breast milk possessed extraordinary health benefits capable of enhancing fitness and preventing illness.
