Lotto: Two players share $1 million, 27 punters claim $11,000 - here's where winning tickets were sold

The stars have aligned for two lucky Lotto players from Gisborne and Christchurch after each winning $500,000 with First Division on Saturday night.  

The winning tickets were sold at Ballance Street Bookshop in Gisborne and Hornby Mall Lotto in Christchurch. 

The winning numbers were 15, 25, 27, 28, 37 and 40. The bonus ball was 33 and Powerball was five.   

Powerball was not struck on Saturday evening and has rolled over to Wednesday night, where the jackpot will be $15 million. 

Strike Four has also rolled over and will be $400,000 on Wednesday night. 

Meanwhile, 27 players will be enjoying a boost to their bank account after each winning $11,421 with Lotto Second Division on Saturday night.  

Three lucky players also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $18,219.  

The winning Powerball Second Division tickets were sold at Pak'nSave Lower Hutt in Lower Hutt and on MyLotto to players from Dunedin. The winning Second Division tickets were sold at stores in Kerikeri, Whangārei, Wellsford, Thames, Waikato, Hamilton, Wellsford, Wairoa, Whanganui, Horowhenua, Carterton, Lower Hutt, Christchurch, Ashburton and Dunedin.

"Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores should check their ticket as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App," a Lotto NZ spokesperson said.
