A 9-year-old boy has died following a crash at Ashburton Lakes in mid Canterbury.
A vehicle crashed into the Clyde riverbed near Erewhen Station Hut on Sunday morning.

Two other people were also injured, police said in a statement. The serious crash unit has examined the scene.
