Waikato motorists are being warned of traffic delays due to multiple car crashes and heavy fog.
A police spokesperson said officers are at the scene of two minor crashes near State Highway One at Hampton Downs.
NZ Transport Agency posted on Twitter that one of the incidents is due to a truck crash and the state highway's southbound lane has been closed.
"Expect delays for northbound traffic also."
Police said no injuries have been reported.
"Motorists are advised to delay their travel in the area if possible or expect delays. Diversions are in place."
They are also warning of heavy fog in the Hampton Downs area and are urging drivers to "exercise caution in these adverse weather conditions".
"Often, adverse weather will reduce visibility and increase stopping distances, so please remember to increase your following distances when in traffic.
"It’s important to slow down and drive to the conditions, which may be slower than the posted speed limit."
