Staff member injured in early morning Auckland shop robbery, investigation in 'very early stages'

Auckland police have launched an investigation following a robbery at a Rosehill shop, which resulted in an injured staff member. 

Just before 7am on Tuesday morning, police were called to the address on Edinburgh Ave after four people entered the shop and took multiple items.  

A police spokesperson said one of the offenders threw an item at a staff member, which caused a minor injury.   

"Ambulance was advised however was not required."  

Police said their investigation into the robbery is in the "very early stages", though police remain at the scene, and are also supporting those affected.
