A Jack Russell puppy, who became an internet hit after taking to the skies in an agriculture helicopter, is back after taking a break to get kitted out in safety gear.
The video of eight-month-old puppy 'Mak' riding in the spray helicopter was posted to Facebook in February and generated more than 50,000 views.
The plucky pooch belongs to the Lawn family who operates Ahaura Helicopters, near Greymouth.
The company provides professional helicopter services including spraying operations for the agricultural sector.
Mak took a break from the trips, to get fitted with safety equipment which includes Mutt Muffs earmuffs and a dog seat belt harness.
Simon Lawn told Newshub earlier he had been surprised at the reaction to the video.
"It's amazing how popular his video is with everyone," said Lawn.
Lawn said Mak, who is named after the Waimakariri river, was very social.
"He generally just loves hanging out with us at work with the helicopters."
