Golf: Ryan Fox takes third-place finish at European PGA Tour's BMW International Open

Kiwi Ryan Fox has claimed another top-10 finish on the European PGA Tour, taking third place in the BMW International Open at Munich, Germany.

Fourth on the leaderboard heading into the final round, Fox carded a five-under 67, taking his score to 20-under for the tournament.

He finished two shots behind the leading pair of Haotong Li of China and Belgium's Thomas Pieters, both at 22-under, with Li claiming victory in a playoff.

Third place is a marked improvement on Fox's 2021 finish at the BMW International Open, where he claimed a tie for 14th position.

The podium finish saw Fox take a six-figure sum in prizemoney, netting NZ$211,000 for his efforts, and was his fifth top-10 finish in 2022, with one victory and two second-place finishes to his name.
