Kia ora, good afternoon and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the Blues v Moana Pasifika Super Rugby Pacific clash at Auckland's Eden Park.
Despite the venue, the Blues will be the 'away' side for this fixture against crosstown Pacific rivals, who normally play at Go Media Mt Smart Stadium, but perhaps anticipate a bigger crowd to watch two local teams.
This has been a very big weekend for Pacific rugby, with the inaugural inductions to its 'Hall of Fame' made on Thursday night.
Moana Pasifika reside in the lower reaches of the Super Rugby table, but have two good wins over rivals Fijian Drua and bottom-placed Western Force in their last start. They will want to build on that result, but are up against the odds.
The Blues overcame archrivals Crusaders on this same ground last week and can move into second place, behind unbeaten Hurricanes, with victory today.
