Kia ora, good afternoon and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the Super Rugby Pacific clash between the Highlanders and ACT Brumbies under the roof at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium.

Given their contrasting fortunes over recent seasons, it's somewhat surprising to find these two teams locked together on the competition points table, sharing a 2-1 record in sixth and seventh positions respectively.

Without many of the stars scattered among the other NZ franchises, the Highlanders have ground out wins over Moana Pasifika and NSW Waratahs - fresh from their win over the champion Crusaders.

With veteran Aaron Smith no longer blocking his path to the No.9 jersey, Folau Fakatava has driven his team around the field, with Wales international Rhys Patchell outside him and All Blacks prop Ethan de Groot leading the pack.

This week's line-up has a very different look, with Patchell replaced by Cameron Millar at first-five.

The Brumbies have historically been the best of the Aussie teams, but their week two defeat by the Chiefs have set them back in the early stages.

Join us at 4:30pm for kickoff.

TAB Odds: Brumbies $1.72, Highlanders $2.20, Draw $16
