A man in London has to adjust to life as a "cat dad" after discovering a cat - that is not his - had given birth to a litter of kittens under his bed.

Paris Zarcilla took livetweeted his sudden move into fatherhood and all the range of emotions that go with it.

Now the dad to a cat and four kittens is using the social media site to get help, with people telling him exactly how to look after the newborns.

He said he will be the "hero that these cats deserve" and has really taken to becoming a father.

"Literally re-emerging from underneath the bed. Possibly as a different person. reborn as #CatDad. Wiser. Hairy-er. Learning secrets of the universe and life through the unexpected birth of these gaddamn fluff miracles. Praise be to the Cat Gods. Meow."

He has revealed details about the kittens, comparing them to Game of Thrones characters, Rickon Stark, Jamie Lannister, Tyrion of House Lannister and Lyanna Mormont.

He has made contact with Cat Protection in an attempt to find mother cat's owner, aware of the fact that he may have to give up his newly found fur babies.
